After this Corona outbreak happened and the venue had to be changed in some seasons of IPL. Last year, all the IPL matches were held in India, but all the group stage matches were held in four stadiums in Maharashtra. The final and eliminator matches were held at Ahmedabad (Narendra Modi Stadium) and Kolkata (Eden Gardens).

This time IPL will be played in home and away format. This was confirmed by Sourav Ganguly while holding the post of BCCI President. The Rajasthan Cricket Association wants the matches at its home ground to be divided into two stadiums. One stadium being the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, which has been his home ground since season 1. As a second home ground, the association wants the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. For this, he has also demanded from BCCI.
